GO KART

Our team of 25 automotive engineering students participated in the national kart racing championship. This event saw 80 teams compete with each other over the course of 3 days. We were runners up in the endurance racing event. We also secured 3rd place in Business presentation event. This event was my first time experience of working in a team setting. I enjoyed designing, fabricating and testing components. An innovative aspect of our Go-kart was the low cost automatic engine kill switch. This feature was implemented to improve driver safety and was widely appreciated by judges as an effective solution to combat the problem of fire hazards.
